I've played about 3 rounds with the Pro V1 protos and they have a very soft feel off the putter face and wedges. They spin a lot off the wedges (which I really like) and are really good on and around the greens. They compress really well with the irons and spin and bite when they land - very nice. I couldn't quite tell how the driver distance is as I was playing on new and unfamiliar courses. The ball feels soft of the driver face and I think I may like a little firmer feel for the driver. The distance seemed similar to my regular Pro V 1s and I really want to hit the two side by side on some fairways and see if there is any difference.
Overall a very compressible ball with great green side spin as well as iron spin. Can't speak to spin rates with driver yet.
  2. I was fortunate enough to be selected for the proto Prov1 red. Thanks Titleis. Something seamed unique about this ball to me. Coming off the clubface it feels firm, but it checks up really well on the greens. No doubt this is a fantastic golf ball. Great job Titleist!

This ProV1 ball is incredible. I am playing ProV1x 2025 with my number 17. The 2027 ProV1 is as durable as all previous models. Overall, for me it had an average of 5 to 7 yards more on my irons over the 25 ProV1x. The Proto 2027 putts so true with a little firmer feel than a 25 ProV1 and so close to what I like, the firmer feel of the ProV1X. The chipping and pitches were quite easy to control, giving me the right response I like. My GTS3 fairway woods, 3-15 & 7-21 deg traveled much straighter and longer especially into the Florida winds. On my GTS2 10 deg driver I loved that this Proto 2027 did not balloon as much as my 25 ProV1x especially into the wind. It held so steady with a slight draw adding 7 to 12 yards overall to my driver. It “Held the Plane” giving me a tighter dispersion on my driver to the lob wedge. I was swinging well and took that into consideration. Occasionally, after the 4th or 5th round some of those old, bad, and sneaky habits did show up and I know the 25 ProV1x would not have performed as well. Thank you, Titleist. I do not know how you guys do it but keep it up on always improving your great products.
  4. Last week, I tested the white box ProV1 and ProV1x during a fall round of golf with temperatures in the 50's. I couldn't tell much difference between the two balls or against my current ProV1x's. I need putt well with the balls and they both worked well around the green. Looking forward to a few more trials this fall.
