Book a series of lessons or do a get into golf course, one lesson will help two will confuse !! Enjoy and don’t be intimidated we all started somewhere. Most haven’t improved that much!
  2. Not to overthink every shot. I’d spend so much time thinking about every step and be so far in my head about the shot that I forgot to just have fun.

There's something very special about being the first one on the course, with a fog still over the fairway, and the grass still covered in dew, playing as the sun rises.
Or finishing the day playing through the Golden Hour, as the fairway takes on that argent hue, and deer peek out to see if they're alone yet.
There is a magic to our sport that borders on the spiritual. Something I wish I learned earlier in life, rather than just chasing yardage.
When I play a round like that, my score is often better. I think being one with the course makes all the difference.

I wish I knew that GOLF is literally a very Physical sport. My first time playing I thought I'd be totally bored , but then I started really trying to beat my husband and didn't but, that evening after showering and sitting on my chaise for about 20 min. I tried getting up and was so sore I thought he had to take me to emergency, lololol!!! Then I realized there's a whole regiment of callisthenics that is needed to stay in shape to walk the course, and learning your swing appropriately. So my lesson was thinking I knew golf when I knew nothing. Now i'm 11 years in and so MUCH respect for golf and die heart golfers like myself and my husband. ;-).

Something’s I would have wanted to know is the short game putting is very important sometimes I set my self up for par and my putting is what has been my biggest challenge so I’m currently working on it to get better I feel like I would have wanted to practice and understand that the putting is the most important

I never had the time to golf when I was younger. I am jealous of people that do because they have the advantage of experience. I started playing golf 5 years ago with friends. They were very patient and kind as they watched me duff shots and putt from one side of the green to the other over and over again. My first club that I purchased was a Ladies Calloway 5 wood that I dented on a tree root the same month I got it (I was lucky I didn't break my wrist). I just threw it away as it was not repairable. I paid a ton of money getting fitted for a driver (Taylor Made) and clubs (Cobra), all of which I actually don't use now. That all being said, for the beginner golfer, be prepared for the journey -- it's a long one -- a lifetime actually! You learn a lot about yourself and others playing this game. It is a humbling sport that requires patience and integrity. I found a fantastic Pro at a local golf club in my neighborhood who worked with me for many months and years. He continues to help coach me with this game. His kindness and generosity has been unwavering -- often acting as a Therapist and a Priest. I would not be able to play without his expertise. My tips to share with you are simple: 1) Relax. 2) Keep your head down - watch the club face hit the ball. 3) Swing slow and smooth. 4) Stay in the moment (don't rush ahead or worry about what happened on the last hole. 5) Have fun. Once you get to a point where you can keep up with your foursome, it's so much fun! The addiction is real. You never stop learning in the game of golf, so keep at it. Don't give up and don't let the assholes get you down because there are a lot of them!!
