  1. The 3 clubs I would use would be a 3 hybrid 7 iron and 52 degree wedge

Actually did one of these outings before. Most people take putter which in my opinion is big mistake. I used the 3 hybrid, 7 iron, and 56* wedge. Used the 7 iron to putt and worked better than expected. Group finished -4

I will drive & putt with the 3 wood, 6-iron for fairway/second-stroke use and a 52-degree wedge for around the green. I can always putt with the 3-wood if i am short of the green but in the fairway.

I played in a league that the tie-breaker was to play one hole with only one club. It brought course management to a new level.

Back in high school golf we used to do this for 9 holes (you would be suprised at how close your scores are). Back then it was 3W, 7i and putter. I could see myself now switching out the putter for a 54 degree.

It’s a fun exercise that forces you get creative with your shots.

We play this format 3 times per year in our normal mens club group. It is a lot of fun. We also vary the tee utilized . You can select to play 6 red, 6 white and 6 blue in any order during the 18 holes. What I find unusal is that my score is very close to what I shoot playing with all 14!!!!!! Does this mean I have too many choices.
