Not so much a memento, but memories of people: Co-caddied in a Heart Fund exhibition with Palmer (massive forearms, wrists and hands), Doug Sanders (phone booth swing), comedian George Gobel and singer Pat Boone; caddied N.O. Open for Jim Colbert and another year for Dean Refram; and played a lot of Golf with Freddie Haas. You've got to look up Mr. Haas: NCAA champ for LSU, played in 1st Masters, as an amateur stopped Byron Nelson's 11 tournament PGA winning streak at Memphis, played both Walker Cup and Ryder Cup, helped found the Champions Tour, .. too bad, not very well known I realize. http://www.lasportshall.com/inductees/golf/fred-haas-jr./?back=inductee Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame

My putter. It was given to me by my dad years ago. He has since passed , and every time I use I think of him.
Humility- It was given to me by a Senior Olympics golfer. I was matched against him in our club championship. At the time I was 25 or so. I out drove him every hole. Mr. Joe Primeaux taught me that even after the long ball is gone, you can still kick some young cocky guys butt by pitching , putting and being the most handy around the greens member of the course.
I chewed on my hat for weeks and all my golfing buddies including dad further humbled me.

Hi Mike,
my favorite golf memento is a real nasty little trophy I won when I became the holder of the Coupe de Bagnoles de L'Orne in France.
It's not for the prestige winning that makes it my favorite but the great memories & the faces of my French friends.
This was a stroke play comp & I was the 1st foreigner to win this trophy , an English winner was a real shock for the French organizers & every year since the comp has been a pairs comp so it could never happen again.

Man this is a tough one. I'd have to say I have a few.
I have a picture of my old man playing high school golf framed in my man cave on the wall.
I have a signed picture of Lee Trivino my wife go me for Christmas on the wall.
My scorecard, bag tag, and acorns from Oak Hill East that my wife set that round up for a wedding present. (Shot 5 over 75 from the tips)
Lastly I always mark my golf balls with an A for my wife's first initial. Something small but she's my best friend!

My favorite golf memento is my dad's favorite putter. I always have a bag full of Scotty putters that come and go, but the one that will always stays is his putter. He LOVED Titleist. In his book, there was no better brand. In the mid 90s, he finally was able to get the Scotty he always wanted - a Laguna Oil Can. He cherished that putter like it was his prized possession. Even after he could no longer play golf, he wouldn't give it up. He was a great player years ago. He worked for A&P Grocery stores as a district manager and was always able to entertain clients on the golf course. I think that giving that putter up meant the official end to his playing days. One day, I was at his house and he said he had a few things in the garage he wanted me to take. It was one of those big old school Titleist staff bags with his beloved putter in it.
He always kept it oiled and it was in excellent shape. The grip had dry rotted, but the head and shaft were perfect. I put a new grip on it and put it in my putter collection. I don't putt with it on course because of the maintenance on the oil can finish, but it gets a good workout on the living room carpet.
Every so often, he asks if I still have the putter. Of course I do!

Great question, Mike!
Easily my favorite golf memento is the picture I have of me and my oldest daughter taken on the 18th green at Augusta National after she competed in the first Drive Chip and Putt National Final in 2014. We also have two incredible pictures of her putting on the 18th green - the exact putt that Adam Scott made on 18 in 2013. And, she used a ProV1 that day…and we have that saved as well!
Really, everything we have from that day and that experience are our favorites, especially the photos and the memories that truly last a lifetime.
Family + golf = the absolute best!

My scorecard from Augusta National is my favorite golf memento. I did not play with anyone I knew that well---but have some great memories from that day.

I won a stainless Cameron pivot tool in a leather holster about 10 years ago. I had Scotty sign the pouch when I met him once.
