Late September at Echo Lake CC, right before a nor’easter rolled in. The wind was absolutely insane, we’d been struggling to hit greens all day, and the caddie told us to play a 190-yard club on this 209-yard par 3. Pulled the miz Pro 225 7-iron, watched it bounce twice, and disappear into the cup. The guy mowing the rough jumped off his tractor with both hands in the air, and the tee box went crazy! One of the coolest golf moments of my life. And yes, the ball went straight into the bag—learned my lesson from a buddy who made a hole-in-one and then hit that same ball OB on the next hole.
