On June 11, 2025, I got my first hole-in-one at Settlers’ Ghost Golf Club.

We came up to Hole 7, a par 3 overlooking the water. There were four of us playing—my fiancé, Matty, me, and two guys we had been randomly paired with.

Walking up to the white tee block, I already had my 8-iron in my hand. I honestly wasn’t thinking about making some incredible shot. Looking at the water in front of me, my thought was pretty simple: just get it over the water.

Matty gunned the pin and told me it was 109 yards.

I had this quick thought that the 8-iron might be too much, so at the last second, I decided to club down. I put it away and grabbed my 9-iron instead.

I stepped up and hit.

Immediately, it felt so good. It was one of those shots that just feels effortless—pure, clean, smooth and easy.

The ball landed on the green roughly a foot or so to the left of the hole. All four of us were watching as it started trickling toward the cup.

And then it just…

disappeared.

For a second, I genuinely couldn’t process what I’d just seen.

“There’s no way.”

“Did that actually go in?!”

The guys were in shock, I was cheering and laughing, and I still couldn’t quite believe that I’d just made a hole-in-one. We took a couple of pictures of me on the tee box, but the funniest part was that everyone else still had to hit.

One shot went into the forest beside the hole. One went into the water. And one came up just short of the green.

Then we finally drove down.

Matty started recording as I got out of the cart and jogged toward the flag. Even then, there was still this tiny part of me that needed to actually see the ball in the cup before I could completely believe it.

I looked down.

There it was.

I reached into the hole, pulled out my ball and said:

“This is a lucky ball—a number 1 Titleist.”

And it definitely was.
