Wanted to give a shout out to Titleist for aiding and abetting my first hole in one :) I only use a Titleist AVX yellow when I golf and coincidentally had the 1 ball yesterday. It was perfect weather and great friends at my home course, Bailey Creek in Northern California and honestly - I was just trying to get a few pars out there. I hit the magic shot on 16. A par 3, 148 on the reds with a blue pin. I used my 5W and had what I thought was a really nice straight shot. From where I stood I saw it hit and roll back but Im short and the reds also sit lower than where my partners were over on the whites. The guys were hootin and cheering but I truly thought it was just a “yay good shot” cheer. I rolled up in the cart and didnt see my ball….I thought, OMG im in the rough and over shot it. Grabbed my PW and putter and walked up. I couldnt see my ball. No way, is it in there? I looked. There she was. Clubs dropped. I screamed and pointed. We all screamed and pointed. Pictures were taken and shots were had. So thank you Titleist - I truly love your AVX balls. Is my handicap still high? Yes….But did I achieve something that I never thought would happen? (definitely not on that hole for sure) also yes. Thanks for being a part of an awesome day I will never forget.
