Does anyone know the max that you can bend the loft on the AP2 irons?  I know bending lofts can impact the bounce; I would like to get my lofts bent a couple degrees stronger for each club.  There is a big gap between my 5 iron and 4 hybrid.  I wonder if I can send them back to Titleist through my local golf club.

You can bend the loft of the AP2's up to 2°.  The 4 iron bounce is 1° so bending them 2 strong will bring it to a negative 1°.  Your local golf club can set that up and we will bend them for you.

Most clubs can be bent +/- 2 degrees.

The local stores can do this.  Where to be careful is some of the local stores tell you that if anything happens to the club during bending, then they are not responsible.  If your clubs are newish, then you should be fine.  I would be careful if they are highly used or older.

Before bending any club, the best thing to do is to have your sets loft and lie  tested at a golf shop or by your local pro.  Many times due to handling, playing, age the loft and lie is altered.  It is recommended that all of your clubs be calibrated at least once a year. If you  bend your 5 iron will it leave a big gap between you 6 and 5 irons.  What is the loft on your hybrid?  Have you considered bending it?

    Just food for thought.

I did this with my old 990's and couldn't believe the difference.  I've had them forever, and got them checked two years ago.  My 8 and 9 iron were the same loft.  No wonder those 8's kept coming up short...

Your experiancing a comon problem with Hybrids people buy a 4 hybrid inplace of a 4 iron couse their easyer to hit. while this is true yes you will create a gap as you did. your 4 hybrid probably goes closer to a we'll struck 3iron for you. if your going to bend one club you should probably have a few more bent couse like it was said above me now your going to start creating gaps in other places. i would almost recomend bending all the way to either your 8 or nine iron. alot of people i know have better distance control in there 9 an pitch so you proably and close a pitch down and get a few extra yards if you absolutly have to. i dont recomend getting clubs bent its a false confidence fix to me. the companies have spent lots of time and resurch to figure out the best lofts but if you are sure you want to do this go talk to your local PGA Pro and have him look at your game before altering any clubs he might have some suggestions to help you.
