  1. I have been playing my miz MX-20 Tzoid irons since 2002 and I am looking to purchase a new set of irons.  After hitting 15 different sets I am torn between these 2.

I play off a 6 hcp and was fitted to the miz MP-52 dynalite XP s300 shaft.  They look and feel good.  They were my #1 choice until I hit the Titleist CB 710 forged irons.  They look and feel even better with the Dynamic True Temper HL s300 shaft.  I also hit the AP1 and AP2 but they dont fit me as well.

After hitting between these clubs on 3 seperate occasions I like them both alot.  Good ball flight, trajectory and accuracy.  Although the CB's seem to be more forgiving and accurate.  Distance and Trajectory was virtually the same between the two sets.  The mishits on the miz's were fat as compared to thin mishits with the Titleist.

I'm looking forward to purchasing my new set and hearing what you have to suggest!

    Eric,

I feel your pain.Very difficult choice, if you were fitted with both irons and #'s are pretty much the same in distance than no help there. The big thing is the mis hits if your #'s are better with the titleist irons than the mizuno's on mis hits then go titleist.I've been lookin at goin to the 710 cbs all year but ive been a huge nike iron guy once i first started playin I used the pro combo and then went to blades and im a 9hcp with terrible short game.Ive got buddies that use mizuno and guys that use titleist and callways and so far ive seen that the guys with the titleist seem to like em better.Good Luck on your choice.

  3. After another range session comparison between these I am really favoring the titleist.

Been there and feel your pain.  I range between 3-5 handicap and stepped away from 735 CM Rifle 5.5 2 seasons ago for MP-52 PX5.5 and have not looked back.  I moved to the MP-52 for the feel, ball flight, dispersion and most importantly, the lower center of gravity to get a higher launch from the Bermuda rough down south. Fat versus thin tendencies would seem to maybe have more to do with swing weight/balance point between the 2 different shaft options you have tried than the specific attributes of the head design.  Can't go wrong either way, so my suggestion would be think about the shaft option and pick the head that instills the most confidence in your eyes.

    Eric,

I must say that I am slightly confused by your question.  Do you not state that the CB's seem to be more forgiving AND accurate?  You answered your post with that statement.  Go order the CB's.
