Graphite Shafts in AP1

  1. After hearing some discussion and doing some research and hitting some demos, I have decided on going with the new AP2 with a graphite shaft. I love the feel and I think it will improve my game as I am getting older and swing speed slower. I have a question about the Kuro Kage shaft that comes standard with this iron. I cannot find much feed back on how it performs and how much players are liking it. I think I might want to try getting the GDI Tour AD 65i shafts that can be custom ordered. My swing speed is 70 with a 6i, but I have been playing a KBS tour stiff shaft for years now. I don't want to go to the opposite extreme and then suddenly have the club feel whippy. Should I use the graphite in stiff or regular (would the stiff be less in graphite as it is in steel)? What are the thoughts on the 2 shaft options, anyone have any experience with either one? Can one of the Titleist reps give me the specs (torque, etc.) on the 2 different shafts in both reg. and stiff flex. Look forward to comments and your thoughts. Thank, John

John; earlier this year I went to a Demo Days and hit the AP1's with standard DG steel, and AD 65i graphite shaft, and to my surprise, I only gained 2 yards with the graphite over the steel, so I went with the steel shaft for the accuracy. If you'll go to the Titleist web site and click on the club section and shafts, there is an app. there that has all the specs. for all Titleist clubs, and shafts that are available. Hope this helps.
