I was just wondering, I carry 710 CB right now and was looking into getting the MB any suggestions, thoughts, input? I'm 1 handicap, pretty solid ball striking, thanks a lot for any thoughts

If your that good of a player (1 handicap) you could play anything. The 712 MB's are perfect clubs. Easier to hit than you might think.

the sweet spot is the sweet spot... GI, Cavity back, blade, cast iron, or forged.... it ain't the arrows, it's the archer...

Well let's put it this way, I'm currently a 14yo playing off a 5HCAP, I used to use a set of Maxfli Tour irons until I dropped to about 8 or 9. I talked my dad into buying me new irons and wedges. Turns out I got fitted to the 712MB irons (3-4, PW) all with S300. I tried the AP2 and CB but as soon as I hit the MB, I knew that was the club for me. Every shot I hit went where I wanted it, every shape I wanted, it happened. Mind you, as soon as I hit the course I noticed a considerable difference between these new irons and the old ones. The good shots I hit, came out with the purest ball flight. However, the not so good shots, ended up only as bad as a bad shot with any of the other irons. Surprisingly, they're not as hard to hit as many people say they are. I've only had these irons not even 2 months now, but love em! I'm still improving my technique and am now playing for the Pennant Team (Kooyonga GC in South Australia). But if you're in single figures, you can't go wrong with the Titleist 712MB irons.

Adding a conspiracy theory - pickers like Norman (little or no divot)can work shots better with MB than with CB. So it comes down to how each feels/works off of turf to you.
