  1. One suggestion would be to make it a dozen six of each type to players who could help you from determining the difference and capabilities of both red and black proto

That would certainly work but would limit the amount of test balls to half the population for the same impact to their budget. By sending two sleeves instead of four, they allow more TT members the opportunity to participate. I think they also feel like a ProV1 player will likely stick with future ProV1 and ProV1x players will likely stick with ProV1x so seeing how they feel the new ball reacts from they past regular ball is valid feedback.

I agree. Most loyal V or X golfers will likely stay with old faithful in the new version. I’ll consider triallingthe V depending on the feedback of old versus new. . But only a sleeve as the X has been a mainstay for almost 10 years.

I tested the Pro V1 prototype. I found the down range height to be lower which is fine with me. I switched from X for just that reason, lower ball flight. I like to adjust that myself and found this newer model better adapted to that. Still love the feel off the putter not hard but you feel it. Spin around the green I think is up but not significantly. If you like flighting your ball with wedges this is your ball. If you like a little more run out with the driver, this is your ball. Control around the green is very consistent with spin and roll. It’s hard to blame the ball is my only complaint it has that much consistency in flight and spin across the board. Final thought is it’s a better version of the best ball made PRO V1 by Titleist !!!!!!

Thanks for the opportunity to test again. Love doing it and love finding the difference from NEW TO NEWER. It makes you truly look at your own game characteristics. It’s a blast.

When I was fortunate to receive 2 sleeves I felt like it was enough to be able to test the ball adequately, and as Dale V says, it allows more TT members to actually get some. And now that we are talking balls, I would love to see a replacement for the tour speed ball, a mid price point urathne covered ball for those that want a lower cost that the PRO V's, and although the Tour Soft is a great ball off the tee and with irons, it just cant compete with the short chips and pitches around the green the way competitors balls do. Dont get me wrong I have no intention of switching brands, but would love to see a newer version of the tour speed and something totally new in that line

Thank you Titleist for the opportunity to test the red numbered 27 prototype ball. Compared to the Pro V1X that I currently play, the prototype ball had a deeper, more muted sound and softer feel off all clubs including the putter. There was also a bit more spin on approach shots. Trajectory and distance were comparable. Overall, the 27 prototype ball was a definite improvement over my current ball particularly in the areas of sound and feel. Once again Titleist has somehow managed to improve upon a great golf ball. I will definitely be playing the 27 prototype for the balance of the season and hope to resupply when they officially launch in 2027!
  7. I received a sleeve of both the ProV1 and the ProV1x 2027 prototypes. I thought the black number balls (ProV1) flew a little higher than the previous generations. The spin around the green was very good, maybe too good for my style of chipping and bump and runs. Balls
lasted several round and were very durable.

The red number (ProV1x) suited me better. I thought the ball felt a little softer than previous versions but not by much. Distance and height seemed improved also. Had no trouble stopping the ball on approach shots. Worked well chipping and putting. Durability was also good. Definitely will play these more when released.

Thanks Titleist for choosing me for a tester of the new prototype ProV’s!
