TSR3 Fitting Question

  1. I was recently fitted for a TSR3 driver. Settings are - 8*/B4/Blue Weight T1 After a few rounds with the driver, I have noticed that I am not launching the ball (ProV1x) quite as high, the ball is very flat, and the miss is low right.

My thought is to take everything back to A1/Neutral settings, and work it out on the range, but before I do that, I was looking for some advice.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I could adjust the settings to maybe straighten the flight out a bit, and maybe even launch it a bit higher?

    Thanks in advance

The settings for my TSR3 are totally different from when I got fitted last year. Started taking lessons and my swing path has completely changed so they needed to change. Even before my lessons I adjusted it a couple times when I developed a consistent miss left. Go to the range and adjust accordingly. Even if you screw it up you still know your base settings from you fitting to go back too.

Yes you can go to the range and try a few different settings. A lot of different setting options with the TSR3 so bring a log so you can record what works best.
If you went through a full outdoor fitting and you were pretty consistent, you need to ask yourself what changed in your swing.
If you went to a big box retailer, simulators are not always accurate. Go back and see if you can try a few options on loft and shaft.

A1 is a half degree open. Adding loft will also close the face as well as increase launch. If adding loft than adding lie angle doesn’t solve the problem, you may need to see if you are flattening your swing.

The hosel settings only fine tune the club to you. They aren’t enough to solve swing issues.

I would say 8 degrees is pretty rare these days. If it is still new, get back to that fitter and see if 9 degrees would not get you the numbers you need. If hitting indoors, take your ProV1x balls with you. The added loft will also help negate some of the side-spin. Just adjusting the surefit hosel may not be enough.
  6. I had questioned the 8* driver during the installation. I have always needed a bit more loft in my drivers, so to hear 8* really boggled my mind. That said, the sim showed me a bee-lined drive that I wanted to bottle up, by any means. I am hoping that the gentleman that fit me will allow me to go up in loft if need be.

Take it to A-4, that will make you hit it straight B-4 is favoring a fade. It will still be lofted to 9.5° as your setting is now. Don't go to A-1 that will make it 8° and you will definitely hit it low. You may need to work on hitting more up on the ball getting more attack angle.
