Hello, my name is Brad Ireland.
In September 2009 I was 52 and recently retired. Deciding I would play more golf I joined the men's league in 2008.
I started playing golf with the greenskeeper at Eagle Lake G.C. in South River, Ontario. John and I played every Wednesday. Near the end of the season in 2009, John had found a couple of Titleist Pro V1's which he gave to me. I have always played lower priced balls, never trying tour quality balls. I was in for the shock of my life! I've been playing with a 16 handicap all season. On the day of our club championship titled " The Bucko Macdonald ", I played the Pro V1x and the Pro V1. The Pro V1x lasted the first 8 holes. I was 2 under par when I sliced into the trees and lost it. I took out the Pro V1 and reloaded. I managed a bogey. After 9 holes I was amazed I was 1 under par!
The Pro V's did exactly as advertised " Stop and drop on every green " ! Chips were amazing, the ball sought out the pin every shot. The next 9 holes I shot 1 over par, ending up with an even par score 72. I now believe a golf ball can make that much of a difference!
I won the club championship and will be playing Titleist Pro V1's from now on!!
