Shot of the day

My 11 year old son Jonah was playing in his second junior PGA tournament this season at Begin Oaks golf course in Plymouth Minnesota. On the third hole, he hit a sweet seven iron shot that bounced on the green and took a sideways roll, landing perfectly in the hole. He claimed it was the spin from the ProV1 that dunked it home. My son asked me if my hole in one 23 years ago was from a ProV1. Unfortunately, that long ago ProV1's were not around. The ball I used, however, was a Titleist DT which I unfortuntaley smacked off a tree three holes later, never to be found. After Jonah's hole in one, I had him hand me the ball for safe keeping, having learned my lesson many years before. It was one of Jonah's most exciting moments of his young life and one of my proudest. At the end of the round, he was a good trooper and bought all of his playing partners, including the parents, a round of sodas. Thanks Titleist!
