One Swing Changes Your Mood

My first hole-in-one came last Friday at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, IN, while playing in the Team Championships for the Indiana Section PGA. Hole #12, a 170 yard par 3, was playing into a strong breeze and blowing right to left. At first my 4-iron shot looked short as the wind kicked up even more after I made contact, but as it approached the green the wind brought the ball back to a great spot on the green. "That's a hole-in-one," said one of the other players in my foursome with somewhat of a sarcastic, yet playful, tone. After landing, the slope of the green gradually moved the ball toward the hole. Up and in, the ball found the hole. My best swing of the day when I nearly had lost my game altogether. My first ace probably kept my score under 90 and yet we wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks Titleist. That ball actually listened.
