My Hole in One

I was one over on my round heading to the difficult par 3 eighth hole at the CC of Halifax. The hole is 197 yards and the flag is protected by a front right bunker that can make it difficult to get the ball close to the hole. There was a breeze in my face making my decision to hit a 4 iron pretty easy. I hit a high cut shot knowing the ball would land softly so as not to go much past 200 yards. I hit the shot with the perfect shape and knew it would be good. The ball landed on the green softly, took one bounce and trickled into the hole. I gave a fist pump and wrote down my score for the hole, putting me at one under for the round. The next hole, a par 5, I was able to collect myself and make a birdie to put me two under (34) on the front nine. I carried my momentum onto the back, shooting a one under 35. Thanks to that hole-in-one I shot my first score in the sixties of the summer.
