I've been playing for 27 years now, and have never had a hole-in-one. I had to witness one friend make two of them in the same season a couple of years ago; now when he hits a tee shot that looks like it might go in, I threaten to inflict bodily harm on him. Last night (Thursday, July 19th), I was playing with him and three other good golfing buddies (we were playing as a 5-some in our weekly league) when we came to the 7th hole. I was already -1 coming into it and felt pretty good holding my Titleist ZM 7 iron hitting to a slightly up hill 152 yard par 3 that had a slight head wind. Image great contact and the ball was drawing into the hole location. We saw the ball land softly about 3 feet short of the pin, appear to bounce once, and then disappear! We were all jumping and just crazy excited! I've finally accomplished a life goal and now my good friend says he feels safe aiming at pins on par 3s again. :) I managed to finish out the round with 1 more birdie, but 2 bogeys to finish the round at -2 (69). The after-party at the local pizza joint wasn't exactly cheap, but the memories of the round, and especially that shot with my trust Titleist forged iron, are something I'll never forget
