It was a beautiful Friday afternoon at the Merrill Golf Course in Merrill Wisconsin and the group I was playing with in a tournament on Saturday decided to go out for a little practice on Friday. I hit a 5 iron from 179 yards and once it left the club it was going right at the pin and the guy I was playing with said "call the herald" (a local newspaper). We could all tell it was close but couldn't tell if the ball went in or over the back edge of the green. As we drove up to the green we couldn't see the ball and when we drove around the back of the green couldn't see it there either. So I walked up to the green hands shaking looked in the cup and sure enough Titleist Velocity 11 sitting on the bottom of the cup :).. We just joked it was one day too early since the tourney was Saturday..
