    I was looking into stamping my own wedges and am curious what surface any of you guys who have stamped your own wedges use for this. I know Aaron Dill has his electromagnet plate, but I'm not looking to set up a shop or spend a ton of money. Also if anyone has suggestions as to what kind of hammer to use and where to source decent quality stamps from, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance!

    Most vises have an anvil on the end. I put double-sided tape on the anvil and that holds the head steady.

    Yup, my vise has an anvil on the other side and thick double sided tape.

    Thanks guys, I ended up using some double sided grip tape and a spring clamp to really make sure it stayed put. The 56 came out pretty good, 52 and 48 had some slight mess-ups, but I'm not really bothered since it was my first attempt. I'm shopping around for some different design stamps and also a pin stamp so I can do dot drawings, I might add to these, or save it for the next set of wedge. I know the 56 will be replaced over the winter, the others might last another season.
