I am going to be upgrading from the SM6 to the new SM7 wedges. I have the jet black now. I l thinking about going with with the Tour Chrome or Brushed Steel. Just curious what finish others will be choosing and why?

I always go with the tour chrome. A clean looking club at address and I like something that closely matches my Titleist irons. But wedges are a person thing.
  3. Husker,

I will be getting an SM7 as soon as they hit my local store around March 9th. I tend to favor the Tour Chrome just because that matches my set (716 AP1s) and my wedges and putter. I'm only getting one SM7 because I already have two SM6s and one SM5 (which is a 52-12 F that I'm upgrading). If the store doesn't have the 52 in Tour Chrome or if the color is different than my brain is thinking, I would go with the Brushed Steel as a substitute. Either way it's a Vokey and will assure me of many birdies. Fairways and greens.

  4. Brushed steel. I like that they will stand out from my Irons more. I also like how they show wear.
  5. It's a bit like choosing the colour of a car, it's just personal preference.
I personally like the tour chrome,it's very clean and doesn't look out of place in my hands

I have three SM7,s on order that my club pro indicates will be arriving in realy March. I chose the brushed steel finish. I hope when they arrive they bring sunny warm dry weather to the mid west. Looking forward to starting my 2018 golf season.

I have one of each in SM6...thus takes looking at the clubs out of the equation. If I want my 58° I just grab the Jet Black. If I want my 54° I just grab the Steel Grey. If I want my 50° I just grab the Tour Chrome. If I needed to replace my wedges I would get do the same. I personally don't like Tour Chrome in my 54° or 58° for chance of glare.

I've ordered mine in the brushed steel. I nearly blinded myself with the glare off a chrome wedge the other day.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I realize when it comes down to it, it is really a personal preference. I was a little worried about glare on the tour chrome, so that information helps!

I was going to go for the brushed chrome but I think it makes them look cheap.
I dont like the black as they have a matt finish and go rusty.
So I've gone for the tour chrome which look and feel fantastic.

Tour Chrome for me, they look great in the bag and very easy to take care of.

I always go with the Black or Raw finish. Like the low glare and rustic look

I ordered 3 in Jet Black. The lettering is black too Stealth fighter planes all the way. I played with my clubs demos in that finish for a few rounds. really a nice contrast with a white ball.

I ha e always liked the way the black ones wear, but I’m not a fan of the absence of paint fill in the sm7s. I will prob lean towards the brushed steel personally. To me it’s all about the glare free look !
