Lots more bunkers now seem to have stones in them - cheaper than sand possibly? Tbh I take the stones i can see out of the sand, I'm not damaging my club. Happy to take a penalty!

I played the Hotckin back in May at the TT Short Game Experience day. It wasn't until I next played in the wet that there was a lot of rust spots on what was a very new SM10.

Since played at a couple of links courses and the sand quality was similar to Woodhall often with very little sand under the ball and stones.

I guess it's rub of the green, or bunker in this case, as costs of maintaining bunkers is high with sand cost spiralling.

If I played it again I'd take an old wedge to avoid further damage.
