There are some amazing courses in Metro-Detroit/SE MI. Tops on the list IMO is The Orchards. Sheppard's Hollow is another fantastic track and its 2 other affiliated courses Pine Trace and Cherry Creek are also awesome courses! Hope this helps!

Play all these courses as they are near where I live. You would enjoy them. Just played Cherry Creek today.

Stony Creek metropark golf course in Shelby Township, and Kensington metropark golf course are also nice courses at reasonable rates.

There is also Greystone, Glacier Club, Links of Taylor, Fieldstone, and Blackheath you could add to the list.

Depends on where in SE Michigan. Lyon Oaks, Pheasant Run, Northville Hills, Links of Novi and Eagle Crest are a couple that come do mind. Or head to Lansing and play Hawk Hollow or Eagle Eye.
  6. I can second those Lansing area courses. I am lucky enough to play both those courses many times each year.

All of those are great suggestions add to that Moose Ridge , Coyote Preserve, and Fox Hills are also worth vsisting.

Along 10 mile road in Novi /South Lyon there are a few more as well. Cattails, Tanglewood, Links of Novi,

Salem Hills is also a fun course. I have found these are in very nice shape and priced reasonably for a not being semi-private.

There is a lot of golf in Michigan and some of these have an "Up North" feeling as it is referenced to.

As a Club player and member of a local CC and one here in Florida I would recommend all of the suggestions for sure. Keep it in play and hit them straight.

Just curious where around SE Michigan you are looking. I'm five minutes away from the Coyote Preserve, which is a great track in Fenton. Are you looking closer to the Detroit area?
