Sadly my 2014 golf season is about done but I really wanted to say THANK YOU to Team Titleist for a fun year.

To me my great year started last Sept 2013. when I was invited to do something incredible exciting for Team Titleist.  That day was truly a great experience and can’t thank them enough.  My fun continued on from there...

Josh G. aka Hotsauce was the first Team Titleist member I actually met and played with.   He’s a great player and a lot of fun to be around with.  Hands down he’s one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.   If you want a history of Team Titleist, Josh is your man.  The dude knows everyone and has great knowledge.  And please do not worry he spoke VERY highly of everyone.   From there i could tell how special it was to be a part of Team Titleist.

I played in my first TT invitational down in CT put together by Andy R.  I met even more amazing Team Titleist members.  I’ll be honest I was nervous but after meeting some of them in the morning, I was calm and ready to have fun.   George, Allen and yes another Chris Hatem were all in my group.  I truly had a lot of fun playing with those guys and getting to know them better.  I’m hoping to tee it up again with them soon.   My only regret was not sticking around afterwards and having a beer with them.

The day after I played in another TT invitational in Mass. put on by Josh.   And just like the invitational in CT, I met more amazing TT members and had a great time.  This time I stuck around for the 19th hole and heard some pretty good stories.

A few months ago I was blessed to receive an invite for the TT Invitational in TPC Boston.  It was a little rainy that day but still had a great time with my group and all the TT members. The highlight of course was playing TPC Boston but the 19th hole was the highlight of my day.  I could sit there all day and just listen to the stories from some of the members.

Because of Team Titleist I’ve met some great people and made my 2014 golf season even more enjoyable.

I could go on and on about other things but I don’t want to bore you.   But I just had to write this.

If you’re new to Team Titleist, here’s what I’ve learned:

    1)      Team Titleist staff is first class all the way, you will NOT see another company like this.   And the knowledge and information they provide on this site is the best you'll see around.

    2)      If anyone is putting on a TT invitational in your area, I HIGHLY recommend playing in it.   It’s truly a fun time meeting other members and putting a face to their name.  And don’t be nervous, everyone is there to have a great time.

    3)      If you’re lucky enough to get selected from Titleist to be a part of a promotion or an invitational, do whatever you can to take that day off.   You will NOT regret it (see #1)

    4)      And lastly keep involved; post and reply to threads that may apply to you.  And yes maybe someday you’ll get a surprised in the mail but remember this site is about helping each other out, having fun and sharing stories and experiences.

Thank you Team Titleist, keep up the great work.

Me and my boys will be Team Titleist for life!  My wife, well that's another story for later...

Great photo with you and your boys.  It really was a fun year and I echo your remarks about participating in the TT events.  First class all the way and a great group of guys.  I had a lot of fun playing with you at both the CT and Mass events and I definitely look forward to connecting again in the spring with you, Josh and Chris.

I have to say this is a fun community and looking forward to seeing (and reading) more of everyone in 2015!

Even though the season may be over for some, me still get to stare at the new 915's until the snow is gone:)

Great write up Chris!  Anyone who posts something along the lines of- How can I get free... invited...involved... etc should simply read this post.

I'm very thankful to have met you and all the other TT members I've met.  It's simply a wonderful community of enabling golf addicts.  It's strange explaining to my wife that I'm going play golf with "guys I met on the internet", but it's always a blast and I can't wait to do it again next season.

Titleist is first class all the way, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to be able to host an event and participate in other ones.  Again, Thank you to everyone at Titleist and all the loyalist who make this community what it is.

    Cheers to you!

Chris, your message is great and spot-on!  Team Titleist is truly unique and the information this group provides is the most valuable aspect!  As it gets colder, these discussions and carpet putting will get me through until The Masters.  Stay warm!

Thanks for the great post Chris, and it's good to see you are starting the little ones early!

Concerning your comments regarding Team Titleist, they are spot on.  This has been a great place to meet others who share the same passion each of us do for this game.  On top of that, to receive the kind of support we receive from the folks at Titleist is just awesome.  How many companies do you know of that engage their customers the way Titleist does?  Not many, that's for sure.

I have made a number of friendships from my time here on TT and hope to make many more in the future.  I have been fortunate to meet a number of folks in person, and I feel like I know so many more that I have not yet had a chance to meet yet face to face.  As far as participating in local TT play days, I can't agree more.  This has been a great way to met and grow friendships for sure.  After hearing so many comment's about Josh's TT event this fall, I am certainly going to try to make the trek up there next year if the schedule allows to add some Texas color to the group!

Anyway, thanks for the comments and for sharing your experiences.  These are the kind of things we hear over and over and make Team Titleist so special.  I always love it when somebody comes up to me and asks "What's Team Titleist?" and I have an opportunity to share similar experiences as to yours.

    Chris,

As the polar air mass moves into St Louis, I think my season could be over also, or at least put on hold until some slightly warmer and less windy days arrive.

Your observations and suggestions for new TT as well as established members are right on target.  I've been a TT member for several years, but never participated in posts until this year.  I now realize that this community has a ton to offer.  I enjoy reading the posts and other members replies because there is always something that may be of value to me and my game.  I have not yet participated in a TT event that another member puts together, but plan to change that next year if there is one reasonably close.  I think it's great that Titleist does such a wonderful job of fostering this community and giving back to it's members.

    Again, great post!

Chris, first of all what a great pic of yourself and your little guys. A very handsome crew ! It certainly was a great year of golf [although I am STILL looking for my first hole in one] I was able to lower my handicap by a couple strokes thanks to my AP1 irons, and hit my longest drive ever [334 yards], thank you Prov1x. I was lucky to meet guys like yourself ,George, Ben and the CT Chris H. There will definitely be another TT CT event again and I will touch base with all you guys early next year to get together in the spring sometime and pick a course a little more north out closer to you. TeamTitleist is the place to be, everyone is helpful and it's great to find people that love golf and Titleist products as much as I do I am going to do put some vacation days aside for the TT event in Mass when it takes place as well. Talk to you soon.

Good to see you can keep your priorities with your boys in mind. It will be a joy if they take your love of golf and play with you long into the future. When it comes to TT, it is amazing. Just with how the concierges respond to your challenges after the sale is enough of a benefit. I'm never going to challenge guys my age still on the senior tour, but these folks have always worked with me as if I mattered. I started getting into golf at age 59 and was never really excited about improving since no one at retailers had the time to try to help someone over 50. They would point to the one LH set in the corner. The opportunities to work the TT folks and the TT members have been great. Titleist and I have both benefited - as my game keeps changing I'm pretty much into a full second bag. I've added and crossed off Manchester Lane on my bucket list. In no small part to the responses to questions that affect my game in the discussion groups. That's a long way from wondering 4 years ago if any golf ball was really worth more than $25 for 2 boxes of 15.

Boy you can say that all again Chris. Great looking family too! All the best for the upcoming holidays. I've got one more thing myself, and that's getting in a round with the 915 before the lousy New England weather takes hold. It's a pleasure to read and be a part of all Team Titleist on this site and the testing, get togethers and everything else that goes with TT, including the great staff here and out in the field with Titleist reps, and staff pros that make having Titleist equipment so worth while. Just coming back from Myrtle Beach the other day, I only wish it could continue. Fall golf in NE is great, but what it leads into is another thing. 10 months of winter. I hope everyone that is waiting on a new 915 gets a chance to play it or at least hit it before that white stuff falls from the sky. Thanks again TT and all Titleist.

Great post Chris, well put and thanks to Titleist for helping with events where we can get together.  Playing in TT events in Ohio, Connecticut and Massachusetts were the highlight of my summer.  Made a lot of new friends and everyone had good times.  Hopefully we will have even more events next year.  Those are some fine looking boy's Chris.  Hope we get to play together again next spring.
