I've been a blade guy my entire life. The first putter ever given to me when I started (late 90s) was a Newport 2 style and that's the style I've used ever since. Had a Cleveland after that and got my first Scotty (NP2) in 2018 and then bought another (Special Select) in 2022. Lately I've been wondering if my stroke would be a little better served by a stable, more face-balanced putter. Did some research and decided to try a Studio Style Squareback and I love it. The new insert feels amazing (way better than the 2016/18 inserts) and I find it much easier to start on my line with the design of the putter. My distance control on lag putts has also been much better. I'm sure a lot of it is just a confidence thing, when you feel good about what you're looking down at, it seems easier to put a confident stroke on it, but I can say without a doubt, it's a very good, very nice feeling putter and I highly recommend the new line of Scottys.
