  1. I had a chance to check out the new SC Phantom Putter line and I was really impressed, especially with the new grip. I have used a Super Stroke Tour Pistol Grip for a long time on my SC putters....However that has all changed!

The new Full Contact Grip by SC is absolutely amazing...reminds me slightly of SC Baby T grip but larger and more pronounced pistol shape on butt end with contours throughout the length of the grip to ensue a player has full contact...hence the name.

I feel like this is going to my new grip on all putters going forward!

Check it out when it hits pro shops 3/18/24...I think you are going to love it!

    IMHO Cheers!

The new grip looks very promising, perhaps this will replace my Matador grip, which I have had on all my putters in recent years.

That's exactly what I did with it!

I have been using SC version of the oversized putter grip. Is this new grip in between a Super Stroke and the standard grip?

I would say it has more contours than any superstroke grip (they come in many sizes as you know so it is like a tour and 1.0 cross size) ....

    IMHO

The new grip looks impressive.I've got the matador on my gamer (black GoLo center shaft),and the baby T on 2 prototypes I rarely use. I"ll check that grip out.

    Thanks for the post Chris.

I can only hope that this grip has a longer lifespan than the Matador (or any other Winn or SuperStroke-style) grip!

It felt like the high quality of the pistolini and matador...the winn style grips you are correct dont last very long!

Hi Chris, i totally agree with you!

I handled some of the new Phantom putters in my local proshop yesterday and was pleasantly surprised about how good this new grip feels.

I currently use Black Baby T grips on all my Scotty's, and have quite a few back up Baby T grips squirrelled away for when i want/need to swap them out, or if i pick up a new putter.

I must admit i wasnt the biggest fan of this grip when i saw it online, but after handling it in the shop, it does feel great in my hands!

When the time comes, i will swap the grip out on my gamer to this full contact grips, and if it feels right and inspires confidence in me, i will most likely swap all my grips out to these full contact grips going forward.

Thank for the detailed review! These mean a little bit more coming from a TT member and not a marketing team. Really appreciate the insight!

Is there somewhere we can buy this grip on its own?
