On July 26, 2026, I made my second career hole-in-one on the 4th hole at Elyria Country Club.

The hole was playing 159 yards with a slight helping wind. I pulled my miz Pro 223 9-iron and hit exactly the shot I was hoping for—a high draw that started just right of the flag and worked back toward the pin. The ball landed about 4–5 feet short of the hole, but because the pin was tucked on the back right of the green with an elevated bunker in front, none of us could actually see the cup.

As the ball landed, one of the guys in my group said he thought he heard it "click," like it had caught the flagstick. We weren't sure, though. Walking around the bunker, I expected to find the ball somewhere on or behind the green. When it wasn't there, I started thinking there was only one place left to look.

Sure enough, my Titleist Pro V1x number 21 was sitting in the bottom of the cup.

The ace came during one of my best rounds of the year, and I went on to shoot a 76. It's my second career hole-in-one, but my first with a Titleist Pro V1x, making the day even more memorable.

It's a round—and a golf ball—I won't ever forget.
