25 July 1926. Was having an average round when I came to my 17th hole on the Hyatt Hill Country Creek course. The hole was playing at 148 yards with a wind coming into us. I use an 8 iron and hit a high towering shot directly at the pin. My plane partner and I just thought it was a good shot in the ball would be sitting 3 to 5 feet from the hole. When we arrived at the green we could not see the ball and at first that it come up short, then thought it went long when both of those eventualities did not disclose the ball, we looked in the hole and there’s that, my Titleist number three pro V one X sitting in the hole. This was my third hole in one! Great day!
