The date of 22/06/2026 will go down as the best golfing day of my life. i was having a good day trying to work in a swing change while playing in a knock out match. The Match had finished on the 15th which i unfortunately lost, my opponent played really well. We decided to play on and finish the round we came to the 17th which is a 251 yard par 4 up hill with a pitt in front of the green. My playing partner suggested i use my 5 wood it hadnt been out of the bag all day which i agreed it generally comes in high with a draw. i teed it up and with the best swing of the day i sent the ball on its way it started over the pitt and drew back in line with the pin we saw it bounce but at that point we had no idea it had gone in the hole. We walked up the fairway oblivious to what was to come. i got to the hole with no sign of the ball i looked in the pitt thinking i may have been unlucky but no sign of it. i walked up to the hole with butterflies in my belly is this the moment ive dreamed about. As i got closer to the hole i could see the the cup but i couldnt see the ball it wasnt until i was right next to the cup i could see the ball. It was the most unbelievable feeling ive ever had on a course and i may have shed a tear of joy. This is why we keep coming back for the hope that this may happen one day.
