My son and I were on a golf trip to Cape Breton to celebrate his 30 birthday. On June 6, 2026 we were golfing Cabot Cliffs. It was a beautiful day, about 18 degrees Celsius and sunny. On hole number 9, I hit after my son put his shot mid green. I hit my PW just over the front right bunker to a mid green pin playing about 118 yards. Our caddy tracked the ball which I could not see and yelled it looks really good and then louder shouted “I think it is in”! I couldn’t see it and we left for the green where my son went ahead , looked in the hole and yelled it went in. I then quickly went to the pin, saw it was in and after much yelling picked it out of the hole. It was an amazing feeling to do this at such a great course celebrating my son’s 30 birthday.
