I was playing Monarch Beach Golf Links in September to celebrate my sister's birthday. I had taken off about 10 years from golf due to back surgery and had just started playing again that year. On the 13th hole, which has a beautiful lake around the green, accessible only by bridge, I hit my first ever hole in one. It looked as if my ball rolled off the back of the green and into the water. One person in our group saw it go in and sent his wife, a ride-a-long, to verify. It was the best golf moment I've ever had. I ended up buying Don Julio 1942 shots for everyone.
