My hole-in-one was a "Silent Ace." I didn't see it go in from the tee box. It was on the third hole, about 149 yards out, at El Dorado.
I was the first one to hit in my group. I hit a great shot with a nice draw towards the flag. One of the guys in my group said that he saw my ball go past the flag. I was a bit worried because the green slopes downward, and I was going to have a tough putt. The next person in my group hit and went into the left sand trap, then the next person hit into the right sand trap. The final person in my group hit, and he also hit a great shot, straight at the flag. We all thought he might have gotten a hole-in-one. When we drove up to the flag, we couldn't find my ball. My friend thought maybe it rolled off the green. As I walked towards the flag, the random that hit a great shot said he found his ball and thought he could see a ball in the cup. I couldn't believe it! I peered and saw my ball and yelled, "It's mine!" Everyone was excited for me and yelled congratulations! I got a bunch of high fives and pats on the back. It was an amazing feeling, only made more amazing by the excitement of the people I was with! After a rough start to the year, I needed this. The golf gods always know how to keep you from quitting!
