It was a two-tiered green with the pin on the right lower tier. I hit my ball on exactly the line I intended, staying left of the pin and it kicked hard right, so I figured I was off the edge on the right side, which is where I started looking for the ball. After a quick scan of the grass I thought to turn around and go back to look in the hole and damn, there it was!

So we didn't see it go in because the bottom of the flag wasn't visible...
