Average day on the Cardinal Lakes GC, Heron course in Welland, a walk in the park as they say. A few errant drives, couple lost balls (and found), great playing partners. The last hole - tired but cold beer awaits us. The 18th is a short par three over the water and balls tend to release a bit long with water behind the flag, slight helping wind. One partner just off the green, second partner on the green but short. Yardage reads 133. 130 to 145 yards is typically an 8 iron for me but with the helping wind and trouble long I pick the 9. Good swing, great shot shape and lands just left of the flag with a short hop and disappears. We can't tell if the ball roles long. We walk up to the green, me with my putter and wedge. No yellow ball on the green, no yellow ball in the fringe or beyond. Water? No way. Check the hole - yellow ''Titlist Trufeel'' nestled in the bottom of the cup! Goose bumps! Life is good!!
