My first ever hole in one on my home course at Mullion in Cornwall, the most southerly golf course in England. I was playing in our annual Polurrian hotel cup, played over 36 holes on the day, with my hole in one coming in the first round. The weather was a bit inclement with both wind and rain making conditions on the course quite challenging. The par 3 16th hole is short with an elevated tee hitting into a small Green protected by seven bunkers to the front and sides. The green slopes front to back with the pin on the day positioned front middle. I didn’t see my wedge shot, played with a slight draw, riding the right to left wind go in the hole, however a player in the group behind whilst leaving the 15th Green happened to see the shot bounce once before rolling into the hole like a putt.
