Our round had just ended and I *** a decent 83 feeling good about myself. But the course was empty and so we decided to play a few more holes before calling it a day. We walked up to the fifth tee box and at this point I had told the guys that I was ready to pack it in. But my boy Parker protested saying “Let’s at least play five” and so reluctantly I took out my pitching wedge and went up after my other buddy duffed his shot only a few yards. I took my swing and immediately it looked like a good shoot. A little off to the left and short I had no expectations for it to go in. But once it hit the green it released towards the back pin and slowly turned from left to right. Watching it I said that might go in. And then it vanished. We went crazy. Screaming and running towards the hole. A few other golfers were cheering from nearby holes and congratulated me. We were sure to celebrate and I will cherish that moment for the rest of my life.
