It was a beautiful fall afternoon and my golf partner and I were out playing a quick 18 holes.
The 13th hole at Mill Road Acres Golf Course in Latham, New York is a short 110 yard par 3 hole.
My tee shot was straight at the hole, but I thought the ball landed behind the hole and ran off the back of the green. After my golf partner hit and we approached the green, there was no ball in sight directly behind the green. Since there were woods about 10 yards behind the hole, my first thought was that it had rolled in the woods. But in the back of my mind I knew it was not rolling that fast when it disappeared, so I decided to check the hole while walking across the green before heading to the woods. And there it was! My first career ace after golfing for about 40 years! Pretty awesome feeling!
