I have been playing golf for the last 10 years give or take, but truly began to love the game in the last few years. SO as most golfers I always dreamed of getting the elusive Hole in 1.

As I walked up to the tee box on #6 at East Potomac Golf Links White Course I shot the pin to get a range and saw 168. After some discussion with one of my group partners, and feeling the wind come from our backs, I decided to use my 7 iron and play a shot soft (round 160yards).

The moment I struck the ball, I knew it was a solid stroke, but I was worried it was going to be too short. As I watched it on the perfect line to the pin, I thought to myself "she'll be close and I'll take the Birdie". Just as that thought had finished in my mind the ball landed soft on the green, and began to roll closer and closer to the hole. Up until it disappeared!

I froze trying to believe the thing I had just done. I looked to my group of complete strangers to get some confirmation and make sure I wasn't crazy. Before I realized what was happening I was already sprinting down the course, rushing to see the ball at the bottom of the hole.

The closer I got the more excited I became, the ball was no where to be seen and I already heard the clapping from the group in front of us. As soon as I got to the hole and looked in, I could no longer contain my excitement. It really happened!!!! THE BALL WENT IN!!!!! 1st EAGLE OF MY CARERR!!!!!! FIRST HOLE IN 1 IN MY LIFE!!!!! I shouted for the entire course to hear me!

Even now, it still feels unreal, and I will spend the rest of my life playing this game, working till I can catch that feeling again.
