    Hi everyone,

I’ve just ordered some Titleist Velocity balls.

I’m currently a high handicap player (around 37), and I’m mainly looking for a ball that produces less spin off the driver to help reduce my slice and keep the ball flying straighter.

From what I understand, the Velocity is designed for distance and lower spin, while the TruFeel offers a softer feel but might spin a bit more.

For players with a similar profile, do you think the Velocity is the better choice for straighter shots and forgiveness, or would the TruFeel still be worth considering?

Velocity is a low spin ball designed to increase distance. With less side spin, it may not fly afar as much as other Titleist balls. The TruFeel’s primary market is slower swing players that want a soft feel. It flies a little higher as height is lost with slower swing speeds.

The best cure for slicing is to work with a professional to modify your swing. That person can also review irons, wedges, and putting to give you areas to focus on. Equipment alone can’t get you from 37 to 25. Good luck with the Velocity’s

Good choice. Per your comment: "I’m currently a high handicap player (around 37), and I’m mainly looking for a ball that produces less spin off the driver to help reduce my slice and keep the ball flying straighter." Recommend you see a pro to work on that slice, maybe a change in equipment and then practice. Having a good swing with correct equipment makes a difference. With respect.
