    Howdy,

I recently purchased a Titleist 910D3 9.5* with stock 'Ahina in stiff flex from my local golf course. At the time I did not get fitted by anyone that knew what they were talking about. My friend just told me about his experience with the Titleist Tour Van and getting fitted with an upgraded shaft and having it tipped 1".  He said he paid the cost of the driver + upcharge for the non-stock shaft and they waived the fitting fee. Had I known I would have done this before purchasing my driver as i

n previous driver fittings, my fitter said that I'm also in between S/X flex and could tip my driver. I'm interested in doing a proper Tour Van fitting for my 910D3. Since I've already purchased the driver, If I signed up to do a Tour Van fitting now and get fitted for an upcharge shaft, would I have to pay full price for the non-stock shaft and also the full fitting fee? Could I trade-in my stock shaft?

Additionally, are there different/separate fitting fees for driver vs hybrids or would it be the same?

    Any input would be great!

    Thanks!

The fee to be fit by the FittingWorks Tour Van is $150 per fitting which takes about an hour.  They offer Drivers, Long game, Irons and Wedges as four separate fittings.   They can do up to three out of four in a two hour fitting which costs $300.00.

If the Van has the components, you could purchase your clubs or shafts right there and the Van could build them.  Your clubs will be built to the fitter's specifications including tipping (which we can also do here).  Costs would be governed by the club.   The Van does not take trade in clubs or shafts.

Private clubs that bring in the Van for their members will often not charge their members as a service to their members.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I guess my question is really - If I go back to do the fitting now, would I be able to pay only the upcharge an upgraded shaft or would I have to pay the full fee of the shaft?

Other than the fitting fee, all costs for clubs or work done are billed by the pro shop where the van is located.  If you have already made an appointment to be fit,  give the pro shop a call.
