  1. I am on the verge of purchasing a New Titleist 910 D2 driver.   Right now I am playing the 907 D2 with an Aldila proto vs 65-s shaft. I am pretty happy with the performance of this shaft.  My ball flight is mid-high, with 15-20 yards roll on a well struck shot.  If there is a complaint,  I due tend to struggle to hit a fade and my misses are a snap hook.  Any suggestions on a shaft?  Should I pay extra money for an upgraded shaft?  I know I should get fitted but any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Titleist Diamana shafts are sweeping the nation and I suggest trying the Kaili 65 first and see how the fitting goes.  The ligher illima is pretty good and the Ahina is exceptional.

I play the 910 D2 with Project X 6.5 flex my SS is 105 to 110. I also played the D3 with the same shaft but the D2 is a great club with more forgiving and higher ball flight. I play of 4 handicap. My experiance with the different shafts

    • The iLima in the S flex is the same as the Projext X 5.5 and the softer S flex. I have a good friend that play the D 2 with this shaft with SS 90 to 102. the S flex works fantastic for his smooth swing and has gained 10 to 15 yrds on his 909 D2 with Blue Bord R flex. also suffered from snap hook, how it is gone and he has great controll.
    • The kali S flex works well for slightly stronger player with faster swing, if you like a bid more weight on the shaft this is great shaft. also the S flex is in the range of 95 to 105. the R flex is n problem as I would say the Ilima S is better option than the Kali R.
    • The Ahina plays to its flex. same as the Project x 6.0 flex and if you like a stronger swing the S flex with D2 head is a great combination. this was my second choise after the project X. I went for the PX as I wanted a slightly stiffer shaft 6.5 where the X flex in the Ahina was to stiff for me.
    • I also cut my shaft to 44.5 in as this is the length that I have played for the past 8 years. same distance but more consistant and more controll.
    • I did not like the RIP Shaft. It was inconsistant and tip unstable. I have another friend that like the shaft, he hits the ball a long way but lacks controll.AS I use my 3 metal a lot of the T box, I have selected the Fd 15 deg with same shaft as my driver. this is the best club I have ever bought. Great of the T box and good of the fairway, However, if you want a 3 metal for main use of the fairway pick the 910 F with smaller head. I mainly use my 5 metal of the Fway 909 18.5 deg.

I have tested all the shafts and and have played around with different settings, this is great fun but the positive is that after many hours of playing around I now have a Driver setup that I trust 100%, I have my 3 metal that I trust 100% when I need to hit a tight fairway. I have also measure the distances between my Driver and 3 metal, I hit my driver about 25 to 35 yrds further

    Have fun
