  1. Hi

Can anyone help me make the best choice. I want to but the new 910H and hit a demo club with 19 degree loft and stiff Diamana 'Ahina shaft. It felt a bit too like a broomhandle but went OK. My driver is an old Titleist with an aldila proto vs stiff shaft and my 3 wood a Titleist f3 15 degrees with a stiff red/pink vodoo fw-s shaft. I want to bridge the gap betweern my 3 and 4 irons (200+ and 190 yds) and my 3 wood (240+ yds) but I also want to get a good flight out of semi rough or light rough. I hit the demo club with 19 degree loft the same hight as my old 16 degree TM hybrid. I think I want a shaft in the new 910H with a slightly lower kick-point than the one I demoed for more clubhead feel and loft.

Should I go for the Titieist 910H with 17 or 19 degrees loft?

Should I choose the Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana Kai'la 80 stiff shaft or the custom fitted Aldila voodoo vs8 hybrid shaft in stiff, (it woud be closer to my 3 wood in feel)?

    Any advice is welcomed

I would go with at least 19* your 3 wood is what most would consider a 5 wood.  My F2 is a 15.5 and I consider it a 5 wood.

I have a 23* hybrid not Titleist and it goes 210 to 230. I think priority is getting the ball in the air from the rough and having the ability to stop it on a green. Shafts, I just use what stiff comes with them:(

Delete my last post please. Wow I was thinking 13* was a 3 wood and 15.5* would be a 5 wood because my ping 3 wood is 13*.

I was looking at fairway woods and 5 woods are normally in the 17* to 19* range. My bad I guess my 3 is just strong.

But still go with the 19*

  4. Hey Brent,

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. I took the 19 * to the course yesterday and it goes a long way with a nice trajectory. Thanks again

    Hi Gavin

I m looking for the same answer for your questions.

So do you end up with 910H 19deg with Ahina Stiff  ?

May i ask what if your Driver SS ? i m really looking for some guidance.

    Thanks.

  6. Hi

Actually I'm now ordering the Hybrid 910H with 19 degree loft but chose a custom voodoo shaft as its almost the same as my Titleist 3 wood and I didn't think the Ahina shaft was as nice - harder to feel the clubhead. Both are meant to have a mid-point flex so I hope it'll be OPK. If yuo use SS in your driver than I think you would like the Ahina shaft.

I really wish you find an advanced fitter near you!  The pro fitter can solve all these issues as you work through shaft and loft combos...check http://www.titleist.com/golf-club-fitting/

Dan B posted this great recap from Titleist Fitting Day in South Wales:

    That could be you!  :)

  8. Thanks Ryan, I appreciate your advice. The local pro can get me a different shaft to try if I want and as he's helped I want to give him the business. The Titleist fiters are ideal though I agree. Gavin
