    Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking about going to graphite shafts in my irons. I'm playing Titleist 690 blades that are roughly 8yrs. old with S300 shafts and due to both elbows giving me trouble, I'm going graphite. I'm looking into the new CB irons, but I'm unsure what graphite shafts I should look into.  5 iron thru PW are the irons I'm looking into buying. Last swing speed I can remember was around 120. I can carry a 0 to 2 handicap if I'm playing twice a week with a little practice and I do perfer a players type club. Are the CB or even the MB irons suitable for graphite or will I lose the feel I'm use too?

We can put graphite in the CB's or the MB's, and they will range from 1-3 swingweights lighter (at std length and grip) with the VS Proto 85 or 75 depending on flex.  It will definitely be a different feel than the S300.  I would recommend going to a fitter and checking out not only the graphite, but maybe the lightweight steel shafts, too.  If you need the name of a local fitter, please give us a call and we would be happy to help.

Thanks!! I would like to just get close to the same swing weight a I'm use to. With an active family, work demands and living in a rural area, makes it difficult to find time to see a fitter. I've never encounter a problem when changing drivers or fairway woods and I've never had the same graphite shaft twice. But I will call you folks and get some answers... Thanks

Thought I would give you folks an update. I found a used set of ZB's with graphite shafts on ebay to try and I have already resold them.. I had a terrible time trying to manage my distance control. I have hit a 6 iron 175yds. for 20 years with s300 shafts, but with the graphite shafts I would spark some shots that might carry 190 yds..!!! I also found it difficult to hit punch shots or work the ball with the change in shafts. I will say the ZB irons were solid feeling irons. I've returned back to my 690's with S300 shafts and will be trying the new 710's. I just haven't figured out if I want a combo set with 4,5,6 in the CB's and 7,8,9 in the MB's or going all MB's... any advice? Thanks

Cathi has some great scoop but I would also like you to see a Titleist Performance Institute Medical pro near you.  Log on to http://www.mytpi.com to find one near you!  There could be an easy fix or stretch to help your elbows.
