I hit off the grass.  I was fitted for irons and wedges.  I think if you are getting fit for wedges you must hit off the grass

Yeah I would be really disappointed if I got fit off of mats.  I'm not even a big fan of practicing off mats (weather permitting of course)

Thanks for the info regarding your fitting on grass versus mats.I am surprised that an authorized Titleist facility would not have grass available such as the Carlsbad Golf Center.I would have thought that Acushnet would demand it.Thanks again.

If you are talking about Carlsbad Golf Center, they do their fittings on mats.  They do have grass on their range, but it is not used for the fitting. 

Grass because i was told that mats could mess with your swing
