Hi there! I am an 8 handicap, high 90's swingspeed, 145 ball speed or so, 9 degrees launch, 3500 or so spin, sometimes more. So low launch/high spin. What do you think would be a good combo with the 909 series? Or, should I wait for the 910's to come out...

  2. Hi Mike -

You can certainly wait until the new 910 product is released.  It may be a few more months until our fitting partners are outfitted with the new 910 system.  The 909 is still our current model and based on the numbers you have provided it looks like you would be a candidate for the D2 or DComp but we would recommend getting to a Titleist Fitting Partner and working with the fitters there to find the best set-up for your game.  If you provide me with your location I can provide you the locations of some our fitting partners nearest you.

  4. I am new here, but also need help with a driver.  I am a woman, with a 12.0 handicap.  I currently use a 907 D1, 11.5, senior shaft.    I hit it great, but my ball flight is very high and I don't get much roll.  Is the 909 or 910 D2 the same as the D1?  The 907 came in D1 or D2.  I notice the newer drivers come in D2 or D3.  What is the difference? Do these drivers also come in senior flex?  Or, should I try to find an old 907 driver with a lower loft?  Thank you, Joy

There are several  factors in achieving distance including launch angle, spin rate, and speed. There is a window of launch and spin at every speed that will give you optimal distance.  It's possible that your launch and spin are too high.  The 909's come in a D2, D3 and Dcomp.  The D3 will spin the least with a mid launch,  the D2 will have a mid launch and mid spin and the Dcomp has a mid launch with a mid-high spin.  All of them come in a senior flex which our Fitting accounts should have in their matrix.  I would recommend that you go to a fitter (preferably one with a launch monitor)  so that you can be fit into a driver that gives you more optimal distance.  Give us a call at Team Titleist and we can help you find a fitter in your area.

Also, as you may have already read...we do have a new line of 910 drivers that will be released in several months.
