In 2010, instead of holding Demo Days where players are just trying out clubs that may or may not be the right head or shaft for them, we have gone to a Fitting Day format.  We think that by spending one on one time with each player, we can better fit them into our equipment and they will be happier with their clubs.  Since this was a new program for us this year, we were not able to get to as many places as we would have liked.  I have sent a request to our Milwaukee reps to see if there are any upcoming Fitting days in your area that you could attend.   I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

Our reps in the Milwaukee area have just let me know that "Fitting Days" have already been completed for your area.  They hold them in the spring time and early summer.  The two places they recommended that you could contact to get fit for Titleist clubs would be:

We do plan on having more public Fitting Days in the future and you can contact your local golf club to see if they plan on having a Titleist fitting day in the future.

Would there be a schedule published at some point in the near future of fitting days at various locations in each state?

We started our new Fitting day program (instead of demo days) and they focused on green grass Titleist golf courses this year.  Many of these courses were private and did not offer the opportunity to fit all players because they were only open to members and were not listed on our website.  As our reps are getting ready to schedule their fitting days for the end of this year and 2011, we have asked them to schedule more fitting days at Titleist facilities open to the public.  You should be seeing a schedule of fitting days listed as we get towards the end of the year.  If you play golf at a Titleist facility and would like to see a Fitting day scheduled there, talk with your head pro and he/she can arrange that with their local Titleist rep.

It appears that demand for qualified fitters exceeds the supply of trained, qualified fitters. Are there plans to increase the number of reps, thus increasing the number of fitting days that could be scheduled? Also, is there a certification/employment program for individuals to become certified/qualified fitters?

Spoke to Titleist UK and this is what they said:

Unfortunately our Demo Day season has come to a close for the 2010. We have roughly 70-80 Demo days in the North of England which usually commence in February/March and terminate in July/August. We recommend our consumers to keep an eye on www.titleist.co.uk to keep informed on when our new demo day season is due to proceed.

Hi Ed,  We conduct thousands of Fitting days every year and each one has at least one qualified fitting rep with a launch monitor.   All our fitting reps attend fitting seminars conducted by Titleist, some of them also come in to our headquarters to learn more about fitting and all must pass a certification process to be a Titleist fitter.  I do show that Hidden Valley CC in Salem, VA is the closest fitting center to you and the fitter there is Tommy Joyce.  His phone number is:  (540) 389.8990.  There are several others in the Roanoke and W VA area and if you give us a call at Team Titleist, we would be happy to help you find a qualified fitter.

None of the accounts in that area have anything scheduled as of today.  You may continue to check our FittingWorks.com website for updates.  When a sales rep confirms a Fitting Day with an account it is uploaded to the site for public viewing.  If anything changes I will be sure to respond to this post with an update of events.
