Spin Milled for Women

    Hi,

    My wife tried my spin milled and like the club head more than SW that comes with her iron set. She is interested in 54.11 or 54.14. However, she told me that my SW is too heavy (yeah it's TT DG S300). Her iron set is graphite weighted around 50g. I looked at the custom shaft option and it seems that "Aldila VS Proto-T 55 for Titleist" is the only iron shaft weighted around 50g. Isn't the shaft flex for wedge supposed to be stiffer than what she normally plays? If so, what kind of shaft should she buy?She has a smooth tempo. Her drive distance averages around 160.

    Hi Pat - 

    It sounds to me like the stock VS Proto-T 55 ladies would be the appropriate flex.  However, if you feel she would benefit from a stiffer option you may want to think about using the VS Proto-T 75 soft regular but there is no rule that says the stiffer shaft will perform better in a wedge.  In fact you don't want the shaft to be too stiff you may end up sacrificing distance, spin or control.
