  1. I lost my 9 Iron a couple days ago and have been thinking about what to do to replace my 9 iron. I currently play Titleist 695mb irons. I already searched the single iron selling websites that titleist suggested and neither have any 695mb 9 iron in stock. I did some thinking and  I thought what if I take my PW to golfsmith and get it bent 3-4 degrees? I was already planning on getting DG X100's or KBS Tour shafts Xstiff to put into my irons and get them regripped. I figure when I take my irons to get the new shafts put in, I'll ask a golfsmith rep to bend my PW loft 3-4 degrees and just put the 9 iron length shaft in the bent PW. Anybody think this is a good idea? I figured I'd just buy a 48 degree vokey wedge to replace my PW. I could play without a 9 iron and just choke up on my 8 iron but that's not really a great system when you play competitively. I was thinking of getting new irons but I love my 695mb's.  I looked up the bounce, offset, and swingweight difference between the 9 iron and PW(posted below) but I don't see much difference between the 2 that it will alter the offset, bounce or swingweight of my PW if I get it bent to a 9 iron.  If I do decide to get my PW bent into a 9 iron, do you think there would be any problems in terms of performance or even looks? Thanks any info or input will be very helpful.

    9 Iron
    Offset: .090"
    Bounce: 7 degree
    Loft: 44 Degrees
    Swingweight: D2

    PW
    Offset: .085"
    Bounce: 8 degree
    Loft: 48 Degrees
    Swingweight: D2

Another thought is to get a 710 MB 9 iron, bend it open 1° to match the loft.  Launch conditions should be similar.  The difference  is in the way the 710 sole interacts with the turf and there is  .01 less offset on the 710 MB.  The 710  will go through the turf a little easier and shots out of the rough will be more consistent especially if it is hit higher on the face which sometimes happens out the rough.

  3. Thank you, I was thinking about getting a 710mb 9 iron but I never would have thought to open it up a degree.
