I have a 910 D2 with an Ahina S flex shaft (ss - 100, rpms 2800-3000) which after playing with a season is OK but the shaft feels a bit dead. My current 910 setting is A3. I'm still looking for the same flight profile and would like to get the spin down. Anyone with any suggestions on which custom shaft might work for me? Thanks

I too had an Ahina and it did feel kind of dead as you suggest. I just put in a new UST Mamiya Proforce VTS 66 Silver after reviewing everything out there. Narrowed it down to Ozik Matrix or VTS. Decided on the VTS after great customer service from UST Mamiya. This is definitely a much nicer shaft than the Ahina, IMHO. Seems longer too. Hard to tell for sure, it's been pretty cold here in the northeast since I switched, so the ball isn't flying as far as it would in warmer weather. Even so, it seems to be flying at least as far as the Ahina did in the summer, but with a much tighter dispersion. It's a hot-looking shaft as well. the VTS 66 Black or Red may also be good options. Depends on your swing and launch preferences. All should be pretty low spin. Can't wait to play mine in warmer weather. Playing Florida in Feb.

I'd say experiment with the same shaft but in the A2 setting. That will feature about 1.5 less loft and possibly get you down to 2500 spin. You may also try the Titleist Ahina 82 gram shaft. Slightly heavily would drop the spin down a smidge perhaps.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I also just wanted to say I miss 'Inside the Studio', any chance for a re-luanch?

We are kind of waiting for a marketing team to run through and film a facility experience. Photos are done and we are waiting for the final edits. For now we've been filming little action items posting action photos. Thanks for asking though. We'll get it going!
