    I have played The AP2's for several years and am ready to order the new AP2 712's. I am currently playing the KBS tour shaft at 1/2 inch long and 1*flat from the Titleist standard + 1*strong to help control ball flight. At 60 years old I need to play a softer shaft and am considering either the Project X 5.5 or the Nippon 105 or 970. Please let me know your thoughts as I am ready to place the order. BC

    Robert,

    If you are looking to launch the ball a little higher, then the 970 and 105T will do exactly that.  Both shafts will play much softer then the KBS and Project X, but the 970 may help you keep the ball flight closer to what it sounds like you want.  We will also be offering the 850 and 950 GH in our new 712.  Below are a couple places near you that offer these shaft options, and also offer great fitting resources.

    Cameron,Thank you for you response. I have always been a high ball player, but would like a more control. I am not able to over power a course like I could when I was younger. :) I am not familar with the 850 or 950 GH, so I will have to research those options. I am a member at Traditions.
